Whether Harley Davidson Clothes is the Right Gear For Travel?

Be Ready to Tour? I can not emphasize the significance of choosing the right Clothes for the right conditions.

Harley Davidson Clothes are really cool and their fashion is favored by many people, even those who don't ride motorcycles. In recent years, Harley has developed its range for riders to cater for all conditions, all places in the world.

I'm so lucky to live in Australia to have traveled and seen most of my country on my 98 Lowrider.

Even at 12 years old my Harley has never let me down and it is always ready for my next ride. I have customized my Harley to suit me and the long distances I travel but the most important aspect of any Tour is your Riding Gear.

In Australia from one side to the other you can experience a huge difference in conditions, so although we all like to look cool, functional clothing is extremely important.

These days Harley have an excellent range of all weather all season clothes that can be very adaptable and space saving options which is also important for a comfortable trip.

I would definitely say that Harley have the right clothes for all conditions these days and not necessarily expensive.

The longest I have stayed away at any one time was 7 weeks and I never missed a thing. These days I travel with my wife, so the tent stays home and we frequent roadside Hotels and Motels but never the less, when traveling on a motorcycle pack lightly include only the basic essentials a small bag for personal items, mini size bottles of toiletries, choose utensils with multiple uses such as a swiss army knife.

Here is my 10 tips for a comfortable ride and stay away.

1. When you pack lay it all out throw half away, look at it and throw half of that away, then put the laptop away.... THEN PACK.

2. NO WHITES or COLOREDS, Clothes that is.. (you thought I was going to be Racist) Take Black and you'll never look back.

3. Three pieces of under garments, Sock's etc..Wear One, Pack One and whilst showering, wash, hang out and if not dry, attach them to your luggage straps and let them flap around and dry on the open road. (Being Black they will blend in).

4. You may have to put Hygiene a little to the side, I take 2 pair of black jeans, one for the bike one for the night. 1 Shorts, 2 T-Shirts. (Remembering you always end up with tour T-Shirts or some sort of souvenir T-Shirt) Thongs or Sandals.

5. You can purchase Souvenirs and Gifts, just post them home.

6. Place your Tent or Wet Weather Gear. bag / or Both, on your Handle Bars (this acts as a good wind break over long distances)

7. Pack all clothes in Plastic Zip Lock Bags or Shopping Bags before you pack onto Bike. (Trust Me on this One even if the manufacturer of anything says it is waterproof, water will find its way in) Take 4 or 5 Plastic shopping bags with you.

8. On tours Build your bike for Comfort on Speed, The beauty of owning a Harley is not only the individually the you can apply to your model but they can be quite adaptable as well. You can attach larger tanks, bigger saddle bags, Sheepskin Seat, (My Wife's Favorite) Wind Screens, High Way Pegs, Crash bar or anything to make your Tours more comfortable. Then re-attach and strip your bike back to a lean machine when you return.

9. Plan your Stops and Starts, Pushing yourself to do as many miles as you can is quite tiresome, sometimes not for the rider but definitely for the pillion, plans your breaks and rest stops, stay hydrated and get there in one piece.

10. Last piece of advice, is to take your time enjoy the scenery where ever you are, you'll meet some characters, see some sites and you'll have some stories that should just stay on the road.

There is some great Gifts and Souvenirs you can acquire when traveling, I hope this information gives you some great ideas. All of the Badges and Emblems that I have added to my bike over the years were brought and attached as memories of Roads Traveled.
